A once busy pitstop on the N9, Aberdeen is now a ghost town after a bypass was built around the town, saving you about 5 minutes of travel time instead of going through the town.
A shadow of its former self, many of its residents are either retired or living off social grants from the government.
With a very high unemployment rate, and low secondary academic pass rate, many of the children will drop out of school because they already know there are no opportunities for them after high school and so resort to getting straight to labouring on local farms.
Aberdeen is the Mohair (Angora goat wool) capital of the country.
In fact agriculture is the largest contributor of what keeps this sleepy town afloat.
